I have been too preoccupied with my everyday activity, mother duties with entrepreneur duties on the side that I have not updated my blogs. Although, I am aching to write and the ideas were stucked at the back, I cannot find the perfect time to do! So, tonight I commit before going to bed I will be posting this, about Japan’s education system and the realization of the struggles of having and caring for a student.
Just recently, my boy had his schools’ recital, they call it here as “hapyoukai (発表会) where they are assigned of a theme and think by themselves how to present it through art. They practiced their presentation through songs, essays or poems. They are also encouraged to write kanji characters per grade and put it in a display.
Not like the first time, I was kind of getting used and enjoyed and awed by the display of creativity by the students and the ideas that was being presented with their themes.
I was also thankful with the teachers guidance and for giving each of the student’s ample time to create such amazing works.
Even the first graders are not spared and has shown the creativity early on..
Usually held Autumn season, where atmosphere is just fine for an outdoor events. What I am liking it here is the neatness and organization is just outstanding. They have a very organized system from the schools’ programs to managing the traffic, as not to cause disturbance of the outside community. I just love it and very different to what I am accustomed at home. Oh well, it is not to be compared considering the level of education and the culture diffrences though. Each has it’s own. I still love my schools’ organization though and where I was educated.
It was a succesful Recital and is commendable specially the teachers and faculty members.
Minnasan otsukaresamadeshita, yoku gambaremashita.
Sensei tachi ni okagesamade, kodomo tachi konna subarashi mono wo tsukutte, oshietekurete, arigatou gozaimashita!
Wow, those pieces of art look so beautiful! I like how, at a young age, they're already empowering the students to make art. I'm happy for you and your child!

This is why I like the Japanese education system. Values and innovation are taught at an early stage. It becomes a part of the Japanese core. It's really something other countries can learn from 🙂 Makes me miss arts and crafts though haha. Glad the recital turned out well 🙂

Aww. I surely believe my little girl who's so in to art would love the education system in Japan. Beautiful!
*packs bags, moves to Japan* haha. I really love how Japan starts molding young minds. This one they start to make kids work with the left side of their brain and I think that's pretty special, starting young. That's why Japanese people are awesome
I love that the school encourages the creativity of children and don't just "stuff" them with boring subjects. This is how school should be as each child is different and likes different things. School should encourage each kid to study what they love.
I admire products from Japan and the Japanese' attention to details. With your sharing of their education system, it made me see how creativity and nurturing it early on on each and every school child made them produce world-class products.
Hi Myrra, thanks. They were awesome and tried their best for this event.
Indeed!
Hi Pia! She will love it I am sure. ?
Yes, that is the way it is here and they are taught to be responsible in a young age too!
Could not agree more!
Actually I learned a lot also. Yes, they are very specific on their purpose.
If there's one country in Asia that I'd love to vist, that's definitely Japan. I'm a fan of the movie, memoirs of a geisha and I've watched the film prolly for more than three times. The more I watch it, the more it excites me to take myself to Japan! You're lucky to have been there! 😉
I have always wanted to learn a lot of Japanese-related stuff. That includes their language, culture and lifestyle. I am glad the recital came out successfully.
Wow I wish the American educational system was more like the Japanese system. Those first graders are so creative! I couldn't come up with those works of art if I tried! Ha ha
very nice artworks, how to do that? I would love to introduce that to my kids
Its nice to know the kind of education here in japan. They value everytjing esp the talent of the student

I respect the education system in Japan. Many institutions in my country have collaborated with those in Japan for mutual benefits for each other. And these all are quite popular..

This is so sweet! I love the wall of kanjis – funny how you can still see each child expressing him or her self in that single character… The strength on the brush, the hesitations, it tells a story of its own….
I Love learning about Asian culture! How awesome. Thanks for sharing!
The more I read about Japan, the more I want to visit! The artwork is so cute.
Thanks
Thanks much
Agree to that! Envy the kids, want to learn that too!
Thanks Bethany!
It is very cute, I always believed that Japanese education is one of the best and as I've been with the Japanese people for close to 5 years now, I loved the way they're being taught in school from the beginning of school days. Those painting / drawings tho were very cute!
If there's a country in this world that for me has a great education, I better say that it's Japan. Happy that all went great for you guys
That’s what I love about Japan, everything is organized. And I’m not surprised that it all starts from school. The kids there are very lucky, they assured to get the best education.
