3 Best Things To Do in Ortigas Manila

We were wandering for almost three hours of going here and there looking for our booked hotel Malayan Plaza. Called the hotel and asked for guidance, or to fetch us in the nearest mall (actually, we were just a few minutes away and my app told us that we were there already, just don’t know where to turn or what corner to turn to)! Was here a few years ago but due to age (LOL) forgot the way hahaha

Just being honest, it is not easy to be a  houkounchi    (Japanese word for no sense of direction) LOL

Back to the story, and so finally after taking closer look at every corner, we finally found it! I commend our very patient and lovely driver Cristina and of course my lovely girl Ana, for providing the transportation and accommodating us during our stay.

Ortigas is the Philippines business hub

Home to a series of business establishments and huge malls, Ortigas is the perfect example. As we enjoyed our stay in Malayan Plaza, we took advantage of what the place can offer.

1.) BDO – If you have appointments for BDO main, the perfect place to stay is here. ADB and Shaw Boulevard accessible, and food outlets are very near. The Podium Mall is just across the street. And few walks away are SM Megamall and others!

2.) TRAINS – Since traffic is the dilemma for every traveler, being near the trains is a lot easier. You just have to familiarize the routes and note where you are to go. You can opt-in train riding than a taxi or other public transport, not to be carried by the worrying traffic in Manila! From the Podium, only a few minutes walk to MRT and few rides to LRT.

3.  ORTIGAS PARK – A lazy walk at Ortigas Park, and know it’s history. A learning curve on how it happens to be the top and most industrialized city in Manila. It will not just help you relax and breath fresh but additional knowledge while absorbing the mementos of Mandaluyong and at the same time, giving yourself a break and just sit there.
