Osaka is not just second to Tokyo or Kyoto
Osaka is a vibrant city with a rich culture and history bursting in it and you will instantly feel
the moment you step into the entrance of Osaka Castle Park! We bring you, dear friends for
this post the symbol of Osaka, Osaka Castle!
3 Things to See in Osaka Castle
(NOTE: The first and second floor of the castle only are allowed for photos)
- Shachihoko – is portrayed in Japanese folklore, the head of the tiger and the body of a carp.
The fearsome monster displayed is believed to cause rain and protect the castle from fire. See
and be in awe of it’s artistic golden figure.
- Osaka Castle Park – The lush greenery will welcome you and you can either just sit and wonder
the whole day or play your favorite sports under its huge Nishimaru garden. As for us, we love eating
while having a lazy walk at the park.

I and family learned so much about the past and how it was way back then. Those armors and the war they
fought to maintain the castle and protect the city.
It was a memorable day for my family and thankful for the gift of fine weather. We explored until our
feet ached but nothing compares to the experience of being in the place!
